Two hundred calls about animals urgently in need of help come every day to Mary Ellen Morales at the Arizona Humane Society Field Dispatch Team. First case today goes to Animal Cruelty Investigators Cynthia McGuire and Andy Gallo, who must rescue a mother and her nine puppies from a storm drain before the rain arrives. Then fellow investigator Mark Smith seizes a neglected dog with a bad leg injury from a house where the owner has abandoned them. And Ruthie Jesus rushes three kittens found in a trash can, and their mother, to the Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital, where they get life saving operations.
